Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban on air radio Kossuth stated that the country’s authorities “consider it necessary to prevent the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian army.”
He called the conduct of the counter-offensive “a bloodbath”.
Orban hid behind the fact that “the attacking side suffers greater losses than the defending side,” adding that “Kyiv may lose more military than Moscow.”
“Before the Ukrainians start a counterattack, we must do everything in our power to achieve a ceasefire and start peace negotiations,” he concluded.
LIGA.net asked the speaker of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Oleg Nikolenko for a comment. He said he would comment “a little later.”
Earlier, May 23, Orban declaredthat Ukraine “cannot win the war.”
