On June 1, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in the capital of Moldova, Chisinau.
At the meeting, an exchange of views was held on bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, the visit of President Ilham Aliyev to Ukraine in January 2022 and the discussions held during it were noted. Satisfaction was expressed with the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine.
Aliyev said that a new Azerbaijani ambassador to Ukraine has been appointed, who will soon begin work.
Zelensky expressed gratitude for the humanitarian assistance of Azerbaijan to Ukraine, care for Ukrainian children and organization of their trips to Azerbaijan and highly appreciated it.
During the conversation, it was stressed with satisfaction that Azerbaijan and Ukraine support each other's territorial integrity and sovereignty within the framework of international organizations.
