The meeting of the Deputy Prime Ministers of the Russian Federation, Azerbaijan and Armenia on the issues of unblocking transportation communications in the South Caucasus will take place in the near future, said the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Alexey Overchuk.
He elaborated that the technical details regarding the order of crossing the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia will be discussed. "Passport, customs and all other types of controls that exist at international borders will be carried out at that border," Overchuk said, answering the question of 'Interfax' on Wednesday.
He noted that "today, the parties are "very close" to announce that they can restore railway communication between the western regions of Azerbaijan and Nakhijevan."
"Armenia also gets the opportunity to de-blockade through the territory of Azerbaijan to Russia, EU countries and Iran," said Overchuk.
