Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia dealt an effective strike against one of Ukraine's decision-making centers on Sunday, and Tuesday’s drone attack on Moscow was an attempt by Kyiv to retaliate.
"It is clear that what we have seen was the Kyiv regime’s reaction to our very effective strike against one of the decision-making centers. The strike took place on Sunday", he said.
Vladimir Putin received live information about the drone attack on Moscow and the Moscow region from the Defence Ministry, Emergencies Ministry and regional heads, Peskov also noted. All relevant Russian agencies acted efficiently, he stressed.
