Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić ordered the Serbian Armed Forces (SAF) to full combat readiness on Friday.
As head of state and commander-in-chief, Vučić signed an order bringing SAF troops to full combat readiness and ordered them to move urgently towards the administrative line with Kosovo-Metohija, Tanjug learns.
Confirming that Vučić had signed the order, Defence Minister Milos Vucevic said the situation in Kosovo-Metohija was dramatic.
"Unfortunately, what President Vucic has been warning of for days and weeks and what he has been drawing to the attention of the international community and the facilitators in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue has turned out to be true," Vucevic told Pink TV, noting that Pristina was rushing into further escalation and terror against the Serb community, above all, in the north of Kosovo-Metohija.
He said the army had commenced activities ordered by Vučić.
"Someone needs to understand that what (Pristina's PM) Albin Kurti is doing is leading us to red lines and to a complete collapse of dialogue and an escalation on the ground," he said.
