During the Parliament-Government question-and-answer session, Armenia’s Defense Minister Suren Papikyan denied the information spread in the Azerbaijani press that the Armenian side used Iranian drones during the Azerbaijani provocation in Tegh village.
“The Ministry of Defense denied this information and noted that there is no such weapon in our arsenal, but this disinformation is a continuation of the disinformation about the well-known Su-30s, when it was mentioned that the planes belonging to Armenia’s Armed Forces were given to another country,” Suren Papikyan said.
He also referred to another Azerbaijani information that the Armenian side used French drones in the tense situations of the last days, and noted that the Azerbaijani side denied itself in this matter.
“When the events in Sotk took place in May, on the first day the preparatory disinformation was such that the Armenian side continues to use Iranian drones, then, denying it themselves, the next day they presented to everyone that the remnants of Armenian-made drones were found in their territory. And the very next day the drones became French and, allegedly, they are used by French instructors. Naturally, this is another disinformation. Yes, I officially deny it,” said the Defense Minister.
