The head of the Zafer nationalist party, a member of the ATA bloc of Turkey, announced that he will support the opposition candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu in the second round of the presidential election.
“One of the most pressing problems for Turkey is the deportation of 13 million illegal immigrants and refugees. We spend $11 billion to keep them. During the meeting with us, Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu emphasized the importance of the deportation of refugees, and we decided to support Kılıçdaroğlu in the second round,” Ümit Özdağ, leader of the Zafer Party, said at a joint press conference with the candidate.
Meanwhile, Sinan Oğan, the former candidate for the president of Turkey from the ATA bloc, announced that he will support Erdogan in the second round of the elections to be held on May 28.
After the elections, Özdağ announced the actual collapse of the alliance and noted that Oğan made the statement on supporting Erdogan on his behalf.
