Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili announced a boycott of Georgian Airways for resuming flights to Russia.
She stated that she would no longer use the services of this airline and called on other citizens to join her.
“I’m boycotting Airzena (Georgian Airways)”– Zurabishvili said at a briefing.
She noted that the airline is only interested in enrichment, but the topic of resuming flights to the Russian Federation is allegedly unacceptable for a very large part of the Russian population.
“I will refrain from using the aircraft as long as it is in the hands of this airline”– said Zurabishvili.
Earlier, the first flight of a Georgian airline to Russia took place in four years. The plane from Tbilisi landed in Moscow.
