US President Joe Biden sent a congratulatory letter to Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of the Independence Day of Azerbaijan. Biden noted that the partnership between Azerbaijan and the USA contributed to the development of the region.
“Together we are fighting terrorism, taking steps against drug trafficking and preventing the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. In particular, during Russia’s brutal war against the Ukrainian people, we were together in ensuring Europe’s energy security. The United States will continue to support the security of the South Caucasus and a stable and just peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” said the message of the head of the White House.
According to Azerbaijani mass media, Biden expressed hope that Baku and Washington will continue to strengthen bilateral cooperation, including in the fields of security and economy.
