Today, the meeting of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov was held at the reception house of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, Lavrov said that their goal is to implement all the agreements reached between the two heads of states, Putin and Aliyev. One of the latest interesting projects is the North-South International Transport Corridor, in which other countries are also interested.
“Moscow is ready to contribute to the final establishment of peace and stability in the South Caucasus,” Lavrov said.
The Russian Foreign Minister noted that today, in the second half of the day, the tripartite meeting with the Armenian counterpart will take place.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Bayramov also announced that he planned to discuss Russian-Azerbaijani relations with Lavrov. At the same time, he expressed hope that he and Armenian Foreign Minister Mirzoyan will have a bilateral meeting, during which the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict settlement issue will be discussed.
Bayramov also noted that progress has been made in the negotiations for the settlement of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
