The Lavrov-Mirzoyan-Bayramov trilateral meeting was held in Moscow, during the opening of which the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that there is no alternative to the trilateral statements of the leaders of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan regarding the settlement of the situation in the South Caucasus.
“We will make every effort to implement the decisions related to the stabilization of the situation. I hope that today's meeting will be constructive, and your direct dialogue will make it possible to achieve additional results,” Lavrov said.
During the trilateral meeting, in addition to the settlement of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, he proposed to discuss a number of other issues, including stabilization of the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh and the border, the solution of humanitarian problems, the unblocking of economic and transport links and the agreement on the text of the peace treaty.
The Russian Foreign Minister highlighted the development of contacts between experts, non-governmental organizations, and parliamentarians. “This experience has already happened, and it will also be an important step for building trust,” he said.
