After a 20-day pause, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has been given the opportunity to transport a certain amount of medicine and essential items through the Lachin Corridor for redistribution in medical facilities in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).
The head of communication programs of the Red Cross in Armenia, Zara Amatuni, told ‘Lurer’ that they are in contact with the responsible parties to restore the transportation of citizens who need treatment from Artsakh to Armenia through the Lachin Corridor.
“Our last transfer of people took place on April 29. Sixteen patients were transferred to continue their treatment in different medical centers of Armenia. We are in control of the situation, of course, and we are always in contact with local structures,” said Zara Amatuni, head of communication programs of the Red Cross in Armenia.
