State Security Service of Azerbaijan reported about the detention of two people. Ahmedov Rashad Ahmed oglu and Rovshan Amirov were detained on suspicion of “state treason and planning to commit terrorist and subversive acts against Azerbaijan”. According to the State Security Service of Azerbaijan, Ahmedov was performing tasks for the Armenian special services while living in a third country.
In addition, two citizens, Rufullah Akhundzadeh and his son Almursal Akhundzadeh, are suspected of ties to Iran. According to Azerbaijan, they allegedly planned to change the constitutional order, to provoke mass clashes, to create a "Kerime" state on the instructions of Iran.
