The inability of the European Union to act as an honest mediator is demonstrated in any negotiation process it joins. This was announced by Maria Zakharova, official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, commenting on the meeting between the representatives of Serbia and Kosovo through the mediation of the EU.
According to her, the EU is putting pressure on Belgrade with the aim of pushing it to recognize the statehood of Kosovo.
“The inability of the European Union to play the role of ‘honest mediator’ is demonstrated in any negotiation process it joins. The same situation applies to the EU ‘civilian’ mission in Armenia, which opened in February of this year. As before, it could not contribute to the normalization of relations in Transcaucasia in any way,” said Zakharova.
