Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian had a telephone conversation with his French counterpart Catherine Colonna. Abdollahian, pointing out the deep cultural and historical relations between the two countries, positively evaluated France's approach to Iran, ISNA agency writes.
During the telephone conversation, the parties talked about bilateral relations, the Israeli-Palestinian issue, cooperation between Iran and the EEU. Abdollahian also emphasized the importance of the role of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the fight against terrorism. Catherine Colonna also thanked Iran for releasing two French citizens, calling it a constructive and confidence-building step.
