Babken Tunyan and Gevorg Papoyan, members of the Armenian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, MPs of the 'Civil Contract' faction of the National Assembly, summarized the results of the session held in Ankara on May 4-5 within the framework of the National Assembly briefings.
According to the deputies, the session's agenda was full, economic issues were discussed, but since there were conflicts between different countries, the economic agenda was pushed to the background, the countries participating in the conference discussed more political issues.
Armenia's Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan also participated in the meeting of the speakers of the parliaments of the countries. According to Babken Tunyan, Alen Simonyan's visit to Turkey is quite an important fact.
"We hope that this will contribute to the normalization of relations with Turkey, despite all the complex problems and challenges we face," Tunyan said.
