The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, during the weekly briefing, answered the question whether Moscow will take into account the agreements reached between the delegations of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington.
“Blinken's statements about significant progress after the meeting in Washington, to be honest, contradict the comments of the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides.
We take as a basis that the further work towards the draft peace treaty will continue between Yerevan and Baku on a bilateral basis, we see our role in supporting that process, and for that purpose, we have proposed the Moscow platform for the meeting. Our main goal is to ensure stable peace in the region.”
