Battles are raging in Bakhmut. The press service of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Russian forces used phosphorous and incendiary ammunition in Bakhmut on the evening of May 5.
Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of ‘Wagner’, informed that the fighters of the private military company captured about 90 percent of the city. According to him, the Ukrainian side acts in a coordinated manner, carries out artillery strikes, and uses a large number of drones. “Battles continue from morning to evening, without a break,” Prigozhin emphasized.
Earlier, the head of ‘Wagner’ announced that the soldiers of the military company will leave the Bakhmut positions on May 10 due to the lack of ammunition, handing them over to the Ministry of Defense of Russia. He accused the department and the chief of the general staff, stating that they refuse to provide them with shells without any justification, as a result of which ‘Wagner’ has many victims. The Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine also informed that the country's armed forces destroyed the warehouses of ‘Wagner’ ammunition in the direction of Bakhmut.
