On May 5, Armenia's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Russia Vagharshak Harutyunyan met with the newly appointed US Ambassador to Russia Lynne Tracy, Armenia's Embassy to Russia reports.
During the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged ideas on the establishment of stability in the South Caucasus, relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, emphasizing the unconditional implementation of the provisions of the trilateral statement of November 9, 2020.
The ambassadors emphasized the importance of the trilateral talks held in the USA from May 1 to 4.
Harutyunyan drew his colleague's attention to the situation in the region as a result of Azerbaijan's aggression against the sovereign territory of Armenia, as well as the crisis situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. He emphasized that the illegal blockade of the Lachin Corridor contradicts Article 6 of the trilateral statement.
There was also an exchange of ideas on issues of mutual interest.
