The prime ministers of Armenia and the Czech Republic signed a bilateral statement before the press conference in Prague. The document refers to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala said that he highly appreciates the countries' neighborly relations, noting that both nations share the same democratic values, and this is confirmed by the jointly signed statement.
"When I said that we share the same democratic values, I don't waste words, it's not a self-serving statement. With that, we should assess the role of Armenia in the region.
We should also appreciate the fact that the European Parliament published a report in March this year, in which it was emphasized that Armenia is the leader in the region. Such things do not just happen, we must work in that direction, we must definitely encourage, support that position and support the country. I am sure we will see its reflection in the relations between our two countries, as well as in the relations between Armenia and the EU", he said adding that Armenia is moving forward in this way, reaching a higher level, and this is an engaging factor for further reforms.
The Prime Minister of the Czech Republic also reminded that Prague became one of the places where an attempt was made to move forward in Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.
