The Russian Embassy to Helsinki reported that the bilateral relations with Finland have been practically undermined against the background of that country's accession to NATO, Izvestiya reports.
The embassy also noted that trade and economic relations with Finland were reduced to a minimum in 2022, as the authorities of that country made transactions with Russia as difficult as possible, including by joining the European Union sanctions.
On April 4, Finland officially became a member of NATO. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken accepted the membership protocols of Finland ratified by other members of the alliance and was present at the ceremony of the country's official entry into the alliance.
