Since the 44-day war, Ankara has been by Baku’s side and will always be, said the Turkish President’s Spokesman during the conference entitled ‘100 years of Turkish foreign policy’. İbrahim Kalın noted that Turkey has started the process of normalization of relations with Armenia, so that all regional countries - Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, as well as Iran - will create an atmosphere of peace and stability with their joint efforts.
“The signing of the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty is in the interests of both countries. This process will have a positive effect on Armenia-Turkey relations. Therefore, we will continue to support the peace negotiations,” said Kalın.
The Spokesperson of the Turkish President expressed the opinion that France and other actors are complicating the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace process and called on them to take a more constructive position.
