Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau issued a statement on the Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day.
“Today, we mark Armenian Genocide Memorial Day. We remember those who lost their lives and those who endured unspeakable suffering. And we stand in solidarity with the descendants of the victims. We will never forget this dark chapter in human history”, Trudeau twitted.
In her message Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly said: “As we commemorate Armenian Genocide Memorial Day, I invite all Canadians to take the time to learn about this dark chapter in human history, pay tribute to the victims, and stand in solidarity with the Armenian community”.
