The Embassy of Armenia to Greece published on its official Facebook page the statment of Dimitris Markopoulos, head of the Greece-Armenia inter-parliamentary friendship group of the Greek Parliament, on the occasion of the 108th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
"Those of us who have visited Yerevan, those of us near the Armenian community of Greece, those of us who choose to keep memory alive, owe honour today. Honor to the Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day. Honour to the dead. 108 years have passed since the Ethnic Cleansing of Turkish forces against a multi-passionate and fraternal to us the people. We ought not to forget," Markopoulos stated.
