On April 24, the delegation led by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial, accompanied by Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan and Russian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin.
“The guests were welcomed and presented the history of the creation of the memorial complex by Harutyun Marutyan, director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute.
The members of the delegation from Russia placed flowers near the eternal fire and observed a minute of silence in memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.
The guests also toured the Armenian Genocide Museum, where they got acquainted with the permanent and temporary exhibitions, after which Galuzin made a note in the memorial book of the honored guests,” the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute said in a statement.
