In the near future, one of Israel's defense industry enterprises will supply Azerbaijan with two satellites worth $120 million, Israeli media reports, citing the Israeli Foreign Minister's office and law enforcement agencies.
Earlier this week, after his visit to Azerbaijan, Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen announced that the two countries are expanding cooperation in the field of economy and security.
It should be reminded that the Azerbaijani Azersky satellite failed after colliding with space debris or a small meteorite. According to the Azerkosmos agency, attempts to restore communication with the satellite failed.
It was launched in June 2014 and has been used for national security, defense, environmental, emergency, oil and gas, water management and other purposes. Azerbaijan owns two more telecommunication satellites.
