Antonio Conflitti, President of the European Weightlifting Federation President of the Moldavian Weightlifting Federation welcomes the statement by Armenian Sports and Culture ministry on the incident with Azerbaijani flag during the opening ceremony of European Weightlifting Championships 2023 in Yerevan, Armenia.
“I welcome the Armenian authorities statement. The event should not be involved in politics. I’m able to confirm personally the highest security level reserved to the sport delegations from the beginning of the event”, Conflitti posted on Facebook.
