The council and plenary sessions of the CIS Inter-parliamentary Assembly took place in St. Petersburg, Russia, in which the delegation led by Armenia’s Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan took part.
In his speech the Speaker presented the security situation in the region to the colleagues of the CIS countries’ parliaments. He referred to the humanitarian consequences of the blockade of the Lachin Corridor. Simonyan also spoke about another aggression carried out by the Azerbaijani armed forces on April 11, in the sovereign territory of Armenia, in the Tegh community of the Syunik province.
