President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky put into effect the decisions of the National Security and Defense Council of April 15 on the introduction of personal sanctions against Russian citizens.
According to one of the decrees, restrictive measures are being introduced against 87 people, among them famous Russian athletes. By another decree, sanctions are imposed against 351 individuals and 254 legal entities. Restrictions were also introduced against large IT companies: Yandex, Rambler and VK Company (its subsidiaries: Mail.ru, VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, Zen).
The sanctions included figure skater Ilya Averbukh, football players Igor Akinfeev and Diniyar Bilyaletdinov, biathlete Svetlana Ishmuratova, figure skater Nikita Katsalapov, figure skater Elizaveta Tuktamysheva, gymnast Svetlana Khorkina, Ksenia Shoigu (President of the Russian Triathlon Federation, daughter of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation). Also on the list are Belarusian Minister of Sports and Tourism Sergei Kovalchuk and Belarusian high jumper Maxim Nedosekov.
Restrictive measures are introduced for a period of five to 50 years.
Also under the sanctions were Gazprom avtomatizatsiya, Gazpromneft – Digital Solutions, the Innotech group of companies, the Mikron group of companies, Skillbox LLC and Hitech LLC. Restrictive measures against legal entities have been introduced for 10 years.
