US Ambassador to Armenia Kristina Kvien enjoyed tasting delicious Armenian cheeses from Syunik region produced by local producer Borisovka. The Ambassador looks forward to exploring Armenia's culinary traditions and meeting Armenian food entrepreneurs.
What should she try next?
Borisovka (named after the owner’s hometown) collects milk from around 160 farmers of Syunik region to make dairy products, and is a previous beneficiary of USAID and U.S. Department of Agriculture assistance to strengthen Armenia's dairy sector.
USAID supports Armenia's agricultural sector through work force development, facilitation of growth, diversification of markets, as well as helping Armenian businesses connect to U.S. markets.
