Today, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spoke about Tehran-Baku relations. He noted that neighboring countries should focus on common interests and not allow others to create tension in bilateral relations.
“Iran has always emphasized the importance of dialogue, but there are enemies who do not want neighboring, fraternal and Muslim Iran and Azerbaijan to have neighborly relations,” Nasser Kanaani said.
The spokesperson of the Iranian Foreign Ministry emphasized that Tehran tried to reduce tension in bilateral relations through diplomatic methods, and on the initiative of Tehran, the foreign ministers of the two countries had positive and constructive phone conversations.
“Efforts are being made to control the atmosphere created in coordination with the Azerbaijani side and return relations to normal. Iran has not changed its position regarding the developments in the Caucasus,” Kanaani added.
