Armenian products will have a permanent address in California in the coming months. Armenian Business Corner was opened in Burbank, one of the Armenian populated cities. According to the authors of the project, in the next six months, promising Armenian companies from the point of view of entering the American market will be presented here.
Mikael Hayrapetyan (founder of the Armenian Business Corner project) - Armenian products are presented in the USA, but in order to take a step forward, we need to present the product from a different angle. Six months of steady work is needed to be able to present that idea correctly, to be successful.
The first group of companies from Armenia includes 30 companies producing beverages, dried fruit, honey, clothes, shoes, as well as providing services, construction and tourism.
Mikael Hayrapetyan – Mechanism: first, all companies must adopt the American business psychology and be able to understand how to operate in the American market. That's the secret to success. Today, we have enough skilled specialists who will guide us on that path.
The mayor of Burbank welcomed the initiative to open an Armenian business corner in this city. According to him, it can become a bridge between local and Armenian businessmen.
Konstantine Anthony (Mayor of Burbank) - Armenian Business Corner can become a bridge for Armenian exporting and American importing companies, help people understand what taxes and duties are here, what permits are needed, that is, all the details for business, because those coming to California for the first time may not be aware. We know that Armenians are hardworking; we just need to be able to provide a favorable environment.
Armenian and American officials, community figures participated in the opening of the Armenian business corner. American-Armenian businessmen also came to examine Armenian products with an appreciative eye. They believe that partners can be found here and negotiations can be made to bring the branches of large American companies to Armenia.
Gevorg Salibyan (businessman) - It is very good, the quality is good, it is well made. It is interesting, this is a good first step and it can grow, grow a lot.
Sargis Nuryan (businessman) - Especially dried fruit, honey. It was interesting. There are several things that can be successful. I know that we can bring success to Armenia's export, especially for clothes. I believe that Armenia can succeed.
Maria Aghabalyan (businesswoman from Armenia) - The brand will be distributed in the USA, our Armenian production will be recognized, and our Armenian production will be promoted in general.
Visitor - We give a hundred, a hundred and twenty dollars, we buy Napa Valley. I saw the bottle and thought: this will not be less than that one. And we will help our homeland, our land, our country, our soldier. Why not the Armenian one? If the Armenian can replace the local, of course, the Armenian.
Armenian Business Corner project team has daily work to do in the next six months. One of the first targets is cooperation with large American store chains.
