Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) women celebrated Motherhood and Beauty Day with a peaceful demonstration. They have voiced again that as a result of the illegal Azerbaijani blockade, 3,900 citizens, of which 570 are children, do not have the opportunity to return home.
Anush Shahramanyan (member of the initiator group of the women's peaceful demonstration) - For 117 days, we have been deprived of the fundamental and natural right to move freely.
Sirvard Margaryan (participant of the peaceful demonstration) - We are waiting for the world to resort to tougher measures, to take tougher measures. It is impossible not to fulfill the will of these 30 thousand children, it is impossible to ignore these 120 thousand residents.
The participants of the peaceful demonstration honored the memory of those who died during the 44-day war in the military pantheon of Stepanakert. They say that they came here to promise that they will not fall. Angela Asryan, who lost her son in the battles of Shushi, reminds the international community that 120 thousand Armenians are hostages due to the illegalities of Azerbaijan.

Hundreds of women who joined the protest marched to the closed part of the road leading to Shushi with banners condemning the illegal Azerbaijani blockade. Victoria Petrosyan joined the initiative with her third child, 5-month-old Astghik.
Viktoria Petrosyan (participant of the peaceful demonstration) - I will stay here in honor of my children so that we remain Armenians. No matter how much we are Armenians in a foreign land, whether we are from Artsakh, these are just words, a person from Artsakh should live in Artsakh.
During the blockade, Azerbaijan completely or partially interrupted the gas supply from Armenia to Artsakh for a total of 51 days. To date, it has not fulfilled the ruling of the International Court of the United Nations, that is, to open the Lachin corridor. The participants of the peaceful demonstration presented the humanitarian problems.
Tatevik Khachatryan (member of the initiative group of the women's peaceful demonstration) - If men have to prove their patriotism with their service, we have to stand next to our men, take the humanitarian side upon ourselves, if we want to live here.
Artsakh women call on all diaspora communities to demand that their countries put pressure on Azerbaijan. They assure that no matter how difficult it may be, Artsakh will not be depopulated.
