After 8 years of having no ambassador to UAE, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran introduced Reza Ameri as Islamic Republic of Iran's new ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), IRNA reports.
Ameri's former position in the Foreign Ministry was the director general of Iranian expatriates office.
His diplomatic posts before that include ambassador of the Iran to Algeria, Sudan and Eritrea.
Ameri is Iran's first ambassador to the UAE after an eight-year diplomatic hiatus.
