President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Masim Mammedov, who was appointed as the special representative of the President of Azerbaijan in Lachin region.
During the meeting, Aliyev referred to the previous negotiation process of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, emphasized that the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs showed a special approach to Lachin region.
“Armenia has always considered it unacceptable that Lachin region should be returned to Azerbaijan. Although they were not going to leave other areas either. Now, two and a half years after the war, it has become more obvious,” Aliyev said, adding that the mediators tried to strengthen the situation.
The President of Azerbaijan complained about France in particular. According to him, during the last two and a half years, anti-Azerbaijani actions are being carried out; accusations are being made against Baku.
“The European Parliament has adopted a number of resolutions against Azerbaijan, they are the handiwork of a pro-Armenian, corrupt and anti-Azerbaijani group, and French MPs play a leading role in that process,” Aliyev said.
