The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation recorded the violation of the contact line and the positional advance by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) on March 25, 2023. The daily bulletin of the Russian Peacekeepers in Artsakh reads:
"On March 25, 2023, a unit of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, violating point 1 of the statement of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, and the President of the Russian Federation from November 9, 2020, crossed the contact line in the Shushi region, occupied the height of 2054.0 points (2.9 km north-east of Saribaba mountain) and began engineering works.
The command of the Russian peacekeepers is taking measures to prevent the escalation of the crisis and to prevent mutual provocations by the conflicting parties.
The need to implement the provisions of the trilateral agreements of the heads of state, to stop the engineering works and to take measures aimed at returning the units of the national armed forces to their previously occupied positions was presented to the Azerbaijani side".
