On March 24, the Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the RA National Assembly Sargis Khandanyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland to Armenia Pawel Cieplak, who is ending his diplomatic mission in Armenia.
Sargis Khandanyan effectively assessed the Ambassador’s work in our country, which was aimed at the development of the Armenian-Polish relations.
The sides valued the close cooperation of the Friendship Groups in the deepening of inter-parliamentary cooperation. In this context the Committee Chair considered effective the meetings of Armenia-Poland Friendship Group held with the Polish colleagues during the visit to Poland.
Ideas were exchanged on deployment of the EU long-term Monitoring Mission in Armenia, Sargis Khandanyan thanked the Government of Poland for supporting the decision of deploying the mission, expressing conviction that it will have essential role in establishing peace and security in the region.
The Ambassador thanked the Committee Chair for the reception. He congratulated Sargis Khandanyan on the occasion of being elected Committee Chair. Pawel Cieplak highlighted the deepening of cooperation between the legislative bodies of two countries.
At the end of the meeting issues on the visit of Poland-Armenia Friendship Group to Armenia being designed in the near future were also discussed.
