Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Foreign Minister Sergey Ghazaryan at the online press conference called today, referring to the Stepanakert-Baku dialogue, answered the question in which case the meetings can turn into negotiations.
“As you know, after the 44-day war, similar meetings were held with the mediation of Russian peacekeepers related to technical and humanitarian issues. The Azerbaijani side tried to distort the agenda of the last meeting.
The purpose of that meeting was to discuss the issues related to electricity supply and gas supply caused by the blockade situation. At the same time, we are ready to hold meetings in the same format to resolve the mentioned issues through the mediation of Russian peacekeepers.
As for the full negotiation process, we have repeatedly mentioned that such meetings can take place only in the international format,” he said.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh added that guarantees of the fulfillment of the assumed obligations are necessary.
