We are not negotiating on installing an Azerbaijani checkpoint in the Lachin corridor. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said this during the Parliament-Government question-and-answer session.
“Armenia considers that the negotiations on the Lachin Corridor and its regime have long ended, and the settlements are contained in the trilateral statement of November 9, 2020, according to which the Lachin Corridor remains under the control of Russian peacekeeping forces, and Azerbaijan guarantees that uninterrupted two-way traffic through the corridor.
This is a fixed arrangement. We must here raise a doubt as to the advisability of further negotiations. Let's say, what is the point of reaching agreements on other issues, if they will definitely be violated by Azerbaijan after some time, and then Azerbaijan will come up with new, tougher demands on the same issue,” said the Foreign Minister.
