Azerbaijan is trying to bring the peace process to a dead end, pursuing a policy of genocide of the people of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), using aggression against the sovereign territories of Armenia. Vahagn Aleksanyan, deputy of the ‘Civil Contract’ faction of Armenia’s Parliament, announced during the parliamentary briefing.
Referring to the statement of the President of Azerbaijan that a peace treaty will be signed only if his conditions are accepted, Aleksanyan stated that his belief is that Armenia will achieve peace, first of all, against the aspirations of the Azerbaijani side, which are quite belligerent at the moment.
“We hope that it will happen as soon as possible, but at the same time, we are confident and consider ourselves obliged to sign such a peace treaty, which will correspond to its title and will bring peace, and not give another carte blanche to Azerbaijan,” said the deputy.
