Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said that a new date for the trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan would soon be chosen.
“We talked about this today,” the Russian Foreign Minister said at a press conference following talks with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
Lavrov also added that he had already secured agreement to hold a meeting with all parties.
“In the near future we will see which dates are convenient for all three ministers,” he concluded.
Earlier, Lavrov said that the tripartite statements by the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan remain the key to stabilizing Nagorno-Karabakh. He also noted that he reached an understanding with Mirzoyan on how to return the situation in Karabakh to normal.
