Today, the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Russia and Armenia, Sergey Lavrov, and Ararat Mirzoyan was held in Moscow. Lavrov welcomed his Armenian counterpart's visit to Moscow, informing that the parties have a full agenda. He considered the issue of regional security, the settlement of the Lachin Corridor and, in general, the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, to be the priority.
Lavrov expressed confidence that the trilateral statement adopted by the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan is key in implementing all decisions to ensure the stability of the situation in the fields of economy, military politics and international law.
“We have no doubt that the tripartite statements of the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation remain the key to the implementation of all decisions in the interests of ensuring the stabilization of the situation [in the region]: both in the economic sphere, and in the military-political sphere, and in international law. We are ready, as stated in the trilateral statement, to support the unblocking of transport communication, the delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and the agreement on the parameters of the peace agreement,” Lavrov stated.
