After a seven-year break, Iran and Saudi Arabia, with the mediation of China, agreed yesterday to restore relations. Relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia were severed at the initiative of Riyadh in 2016. The reason was the attack on the embassy and consulate of that country in Tehran and Mashhad, which was also condemned by Iran.
