Russian Ambassador to the Republic of Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin paid a working visit to Gegharkunik Province today, Gegharkunik Governor Karen Sargsyan wrote on Facebook.
"During the meeting, we discussed the cooperation roadmap signed on August 8, 2022 between Armenia’s Gegharkunik province and Omsk province of the Russian Federation, which enables the two provinces to expand their cooperation in economy, education, culture, health care, environmental protection, tourism, and other vital areas, which will also contribute to the expansion of economic relations.
After that, I presented to the Russian ambassador the consequences of the aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against the border settlements of Gegharkunik Province on September 13-14, 2022, the situation in those settlements, and the steps being taken to overcome them," the Governor of Gegharkunik added.
