Near the Belarusian border at the moment 17,000 Ukrainian servicemen are concentrated, the state television channel STV reported on Sunday, citing information from the State Border Committee of Belarus.
“According to our CCK, Ukraine has concentrated a group of 17,000 military personnel in the area of the Belarusian border,” the report said.
It is noted that in the Rivne region of Ukraine “the strengthening of the border continues, where new fortifications and engineering facilities are being built, a second line of anti-tank trenches is being created. For this purpose, special concrete structures are used – tetraids”.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus Ivan Kubrakov also said that a unit for fight against sabotage and intelligence groups “Ris”.
“In the internal troops, a special division “Reese” was created. The main task is the fight against sabotage-intelligence groups. Today, this division works actively throughout the territory of Belarus. These are specially trained employees – servicemen from the internal troops. Only servicemen serve in this division under a contract and they are already ready to work in any territory of our country,” Kubrakov said on the air of the ONT state television on Sunday.
Belarus counted over 60,000 NATO troops in Europe.
He accused Poland of playing the most active role in the escalation of the war in Ukraine.
Ukraine created a system of engineering barriers in the border areas with Belarus, in particular mine-explosive, increasing their saturation tenfold.
