The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi arrived in Tehran on Friday, IRNA reports.
Upon his arrival, Grossi was welcomed by Spokesman of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Behrouz Kamalvandi.
The visit to Tehran by Grossi is at an official invitation by AEOI chief Mohammad Eslami.
During his stay in the Iranian capital, Grossi will reportedly hold negotiations with Eslami and some other top-ranking Iranian officials.
Earlier, on March 2, Fars agency reported that upon his arrival in Tehran, Grossi will meet with officials of the Islamic Republic and discuss "various issues" with them. Euronews TV reported that the head of the IAEA also plans to meet with President Ebrahim Raisi to discuss the "resumption of dialogue" on the Iran nuclear deal.
