Reuters. Foreign ministers from the Group of 20 (G20) nations arrived on Thursday (March 2) for the opening session of a meeting in New Delhi that looks set to be dominated by Russia's war in Ukraine.
The meeting in the Indian capital is being attended by 40 delegations, including those headed by the U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
India, which holds the presidency of the G20 bloc this year, has declined to blame Russia for the war and has sought a diplomatic solution while sharply boosting its purchases of Russian oil.
European and U.S. delegates in New Delhi for the foreign ministers' meeting have however reiterated that they hold Russia responsible for the conflict, with Germany saying it would use the meeting to counter Russian "propaganda."
