The mode of operation of the Lachine Corridor must comply with the trilateral agreement of November 9, 2020, which means the need to ensure the free movement of civilian and humanitarian goods and civilians exclusively, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced during the press conference held after negotiations with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.
According to Lavrov, the Russian side is trying to achieve this in their contacts, first of all, with the Russian peacekeeping troops.
"That document does not propose the creation of any checkpoints, but with technical means it is possible to eliminate the doubts existing in relation to the fact that the corridor is really being used according to its purpose", the Russian Foreign Minister added.
