On February 24, Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan received Georgia's new ambassador to Armenia Giorgi Sharvashidze on the occasion of presenting copies of his credentials.
The deputy minister presented the Armenian government's efforts to establish stability and peace in the region. The ambassador was briefed on the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh as a result of Azerbaijan's illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor.
The sides highly assessed the dynamics of the development of relations between Armenia and Georgia.
The two touched upon the possibilities of implementation of the projects in various spheres as well as implementation of the agreements reached within the framework of the 12th meeting of intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between Armenia and Georgia.
