Speaking at the beginning of the meeting held at the Kremlin Palace in Moscow, Putin said that relations between Russia and China continue to develop steadily.
Pointing out that the relations between the two countries are progressing in all areas, Putin said, “The relations between Russia and China continue as we planned in previous years. Everything is forward-looking and we are leaving behind new milestones.” said.
Emphasizing the importance of relations between Russia and China in the international arena, Putin said, “Today, international relations have not gotten any better after the collapse of the bipolar system. Cooperation between China and Russia is extremely important for stabilizing the international situation.” he said.
Stating that they expect the trade volume between the two countries to reach 200 billion dollars in 2024, Putin underlined that the said volume exceeded 185 billion dollars last year.
Explaining that Russia and China continue to cooperate with the United Nations Security Council, BRICS and Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Putin said that they expect Chinese President Xi Jinping to visit Russia soon.
